June Plein Air

First time out this year with paints.  I tread a fine line between enjoyment and frustration.  I do want to enjoy this but I quite often feel like chucking the canvas during some (most) of the painting.  I keep telling myself that patience is the key here- with each painting a little more experience is acquired so after a few thousand attempts I might start getting a feel for it.

Walker's Line Escarpment. Oil on panel 9"x12"

  1. I left my patience in a ditch in Wiarton 2 years ago. It was my last attempt at plein air. Soldier on, Stuart. Your progress is admirable.
